Internal and external resources needed<\/li>\n<li>Prepare monthly status report for each meeting and post on web site<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Identify and implement alternative strategies for creating a greater sense of safety.<\/p>\n<p>Facilitators:\u00a0 Orson and Amy Ward<\/p>\n<p>Goals\/Purpose:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To actively promote safety and security for all residents of the 16 blocks that comprise\u00a0CANA<\/li>\n<li>Identify problem areas, corners, alleys,\u00a0 building, etc. \u00a0and work to improve them<\/li>\n<li>Work with the\u00a0CAPS program to focus police resources in our community and to hold them accountable<\/li>\n<li>Work to bring dedicated beat officer, foot and bike patrols to our neighborhood.<\/li>\n<li>Develop Community Watch program and phone trees by block.<\/li>\n<li>Provide e-mail and text safety alerts to members in our community.<\/li>\n<li>Explore policing strategy that will improve how we are served through faster response times, more patrols and arrests.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Tasks:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Make calls<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Write letters<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Attend CAPS meetings<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Maintain Safety area on web site<\/p>\n<p>How to Volunteer:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Please contact Ron Reid @ 708 308 8985 to be added to the volunteer list.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cana16.com\/?cat=5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Neighborhood Safety Blog Posts<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Neighborhood Safety\u00a0Committee Overview: Where our mission is brought to reality &nbsp; Determine vision Identify and rank priorities Select at least one goal to achieve by August 21 For each activity, develop program plan: Tasks, responsibilities ,due date, budget.
