Your neighborhood association continues to grow. At our meeting last night, 45 people came out to work for change in our community. That’s more than a 50% increase in attendance from our last meeting. Our message is touching people.
While enjoying light refreshments contributed by several members, we listened to reports from the committees.
Beautification-The neighborhood clean-up on Saturday was a great success. The members cleaning the blocks were: aged 7 to 70; from several different streets; male and female; business owners and renters. We all just wanted our neighborhood to look better.
Safety-All were encouraged to attend the Police Board meeting on Thursday at 7:30PM at 3510 S. Michigan. Let’s take our concerns about the police directly to the top.
Youth and Family-We just need to know the ages and number of children and youth in our area in order to customize our plans. Martial arts, skiing and other sports programs can be made available. We are also looking into sponsorship for our programs.
Think Tank-We continue to look for creative solutions. All are invited to participate in this effort.
You just should have been there. You’ll have another opportunity next month, Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at the same time.
Come prepared to look good.
